1. Wash lentils. Add to water in a pot with bay leaves.
2. Heat on high until pot boils then lower heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Add vegetables and spices to pot.
4. Simmer 10 minutes or until vegetables are soft.
5. Remove bay leaves and blend well with hand blender.
